Numerous Crashes Reported On Slick Area Roadways

The latest storm to move through the area is resulting in slick conditions on area roadways Wednesday morning.

Here's a rundown of some incidents reported just before 9 a.m.:

  • New Tappan Zee Bridge: Numerous accidents involving approximately 10 vehicles due to icing. Two lanes blocked northbound, with backups to Route 9.
  • Taconic State Parkway: Two southbound lanes blocked after a multi-vehicle crash at Pinesbridge Road in Ossining, with gridlock to Underhill Avenue in Yorktown Heights.
  • Saw Mill Parkway: Crash is blocking left lane northbound at Roaring Brook Road (Exit 33(), with delays to Route 120.
  • Route 9D: Closed due to an accident between Middlebush Road and Old Hopewell Road in Dutchess.
